What cpu fan for me?

Hey, I have a 2 year old amd athlon thunderbird 1.2 ghz clocked at 1124 Mhz...

my current fan/heatsink is whatever came with this system when they made it, my motherboard is a:
Aopen AK73Pro: http://www.aopen.com/products/mb/AK73Pro(A).htm


I am wondering about the thermaltake volcano 7: http://www.thermaltake.com/products/heatsink/v7.htm

But, will that fit, and will that work well enough, i need a new fan cause my computer keeps freezing due to overheating of the cpu...

Anyway, I am giong to go to this store to pick up a fan I think, unless you guys think I should try to solve everything some way else...

That is all the selection I have since im a poor student in Canada...

that is sad since it is undercl;ocked and still freezing..what are you using now??? Are you using the theraml tape that may have come with the hsf you are using???

Personally I don't like the Thermaltake line as it is crap...How mcuh do you want to spend???

volcano heatsinks suck imho

get an slk-800 or an ax-7 or something
with a good variable speed fan

Get the "Vantec VT-VA4-C7040 AeroFlow w/ TMD Fan AMD" that's listed at Canada computers. If recommendations and reviews are accurate at all, it should be much better than the Volcano 7. I want to get one of those things when I get a new CPU. I personally have no problem with the V7 because I'm using it right now on an AthlonXP2000 and my CPU is at an acceptable temperature, but there are many people who think it's a piece of crap, so you should probably get something other than that.
