What's wrong with Canada? I thought they were doing pretty damn well. How about Germany for that matter?
Canada is cold....and too polite. The German language hurts my ears.
I'd go with Costa Rica.
I know you don't care and all, but Germany:

OP fails. No matter which country you move to, if you're from the US you'll have to still pay US taxes....inless they have a double tax treaty, then you'd pay the other country's still high tax rate.
The US is the only country in the world that taxes based on citizenship (basically you pay US tax no matter where you live, no matter how long you've lived elsewhere, or where you make your money). Every other country taxes based on residence and source of income.
Basically, you're stuck in the US unless you renounce your citizenship, which is difficult for an American.
That, and also as an expat ALL your expenses are deductible. And most likely the host country has a different tax bracket for expats, making it a win-win.Only partially correct. If you reside out of the country for most of the year, as long as you file, you only owe tax on income over $90k.

Canada is already the unofficial 51st U.S. state. However while U.S. residential real estate crashed and burns, Canada's reportedly continues to bubble upward. What's wrong with Canada? I thought they were doing pretty damn well. How about Germany for that matter?
If they have attractive brothers I could be convinced to visit... would have to make a stopover in France for some good booze first of course.
I second Australia. Australia economy is doing very well at the moment and the foreseeable near future. Canada is the runner up option.
I hope you mean liquor/wine...because the beer there is deplorable! D:
I probably told you this story, but the only bar I managed to find over a few days in Berlin was a gay bar--took us about 20 minutes to realize what was going on, lol.
Everything else we found were clubs--pretty much gay by virtue (German club).
yeah, no problems. I assure you.![]()
But of course wine and Cognac/Armagnac/Calvados. I can only imagine the piss that is French beer...every nation on their border does it better.
I can understand the confusion in a German gay bar. It's a toss up if it's gay or just really "European" sometimes.

LOL. He wants a good country, not a shithole.
LOL.
deadly snakes, spiders that eat birds, crocodiles that eat sharks, phone service that prevents the drunken populace from dialing in the evening, etc....
Sure, he could do better.
