That's neat, I might play around with that. Been wanting to start some programming projects but been out of the loop in so long, this might be a fun way to get my feet wet again, and I've always been obsessed with finding ways to make something efficient.

I used to cringe in college when they taught bubble sorting as being a viable way to sort data.
 When was that? Bubble sort is only ideal if you will have exactly three items to sort. It normally is, and should be, taught as a naive way to sort that you should avoid whenever possible.

Euler is very math-heavy, so no IO to speak of, and thus it's not really good for anything practical, but it's a good thing to get started with a language, and if you don't have the schooling to know most of the problems already, it can be quite the mental challenge. Doing it in a language without support for very large numbers can add additional foundational learning that may prove useful.

Project Euler gives me a type of intellectual challenge that I haven't had since school. My other projects are challenging too, but I kinda miss the more pure math stuff from school.

I've been doing Project Euler the last few days... I'm still just at level 1, but it's kinda fun.

I suck at math though.

Problem 12 is the first one that stumped me. My naive original solution took 8 minutes to run. It took me a while to figure out a fast solution.
