What could cause an excessively high temp at TAT Load?

I've encountered a problem on my friend's rig where he would idle at 40C with an overclocked e6400 and when he would load the CPU using TAT, it would have a load temp of 70C+.

That seems highly unusual considering his idle temps are perfect considering the overclock and the vcore (1.325).

Can anyone give me a hand in solving the cooling problem?

Thanks.

If he's using the stock HSF and his overclock is up around 3.2ghz then thats normal.

More info required to make a judgement

That does seem high with that HSF unless he's got some insane overclock.

I would suggest, remove, clean, reapply paste and reseat the HSF
