i have a little problem here that has got me stumped. I have the epox 4g4a+ mobo, and 2 sticks of corsair xms3000 c2. i know my cpu (2.26b) can run up to 156 fsb. I ran 156 fsb with 4:5 ratio, for ddr 390, timings were at 2.5, 3, 3, 7. I can run prime95 forever (over 24 hours straight) and i ran memtest86 for over 6 hours straight with no errors on either prime or memtest. windows applications are fine. however, when i try to run 3dmark2001, right before it goes into the first test monitor blacks out, and the power light just blinks, like when it has no connection. when i run ram at 4:3 ratio for ddr234, i can run 3dmark2001 overnight. how is it that prime95 AND memtest86 can run forever but i cant run 3dmark for even 1 second?

Can we say "video or video driver problem...?"

Or...?

:: 3DMark2001 SE Build 330

MadOnion.com? is pleased to announce the release of a new version of 3DMark®2001 Second Edition - build 330! The new version ensures more reliable functionality with new hardware that was released after the launch of 3DMark2001 SE in February 2002.

Possibly this may shed some light...?

Take a serious look at your video card. Is it overclocked? Have you locked your AGP/PCI frequencies to 66/33? Since 3DMark does bench your video card, that would be the problem I assume.
