What corrupts RAM+ USB question.

What could cause my computer to corrupt completely working ram?

Wth does it mean when my computer BSODs during windows load if i have USB devices attached, but boots fine if i unplug them?

  1. Did you check your ram using memtest86? If the ram checks out, the problem is most likely either PSU or MB. If ram is bad, the cause of the problem is inconclusive. Meaning, you could have just gotten bad ram or, see above.

    You either have incorrect settings in your BIOS or, the MB is bad. First try disabling support for legacy USB devices then, if no joy, try resetting the BIOS. If problems persist, try a new or different MB.

Ty for advice. Im leaning towards the mobo now as well. No POST when i got home, and im unable to make it post. Tried everything except removing video card.

Also what is curious is when i reset my CMOS the first time, the power switch in the back of the PSU turned to on/off switch for the whole computer. No POST either way. Im giving it to the pros to be 100% sure its the mobo, as i dont have any spare laying around :p
