Microsoft:

Do you guys realize that in Microsoft's license agreements they can uninstall their products at their discretion if they feel their policy has been violated. If the governement tries to close them down or another country's gov't goes too far they could pull their OS and office suite right off of the millions and millions of computers that rely on them.

Yeah that list is pretty lame.

you come up with a less lame list. i mean seriously those are the most commonly discussed companies on here, EA was just mentioned cuz they now OFFICIALLY own the sports world.

This isn't the early 1900's here. There are no more monopolies anymore. If anything, Wal-Mart might be a good choice, but the others...give me a break. There is simply no company that intimidating and no company that can bring enough wide-spread appeal and products to attain "world domination"

They've already taken over the world. You just don't know it and that's the beauty part (evil laugh)

I was doing some research for school and on average wal mart only has 20%-30% of all the customers in any given area. Most people don't like shopping at wal mart.

No one company is going to take over the world. The world has already been divided by a handful of huge multi-national umbrellas.

Wal-mart is a candidate, however it taking over the WHOLE world is very improbable.

Hilarious that you didn't list a single bank. :)

Banks own the world, make no mistake about that.

The only reason you can't think of Google as a serious competitor yet is because their recent contributions (so far) have been small (yet still invaluable). GMail, Google Maps, Google Local, Google News...I find myself using each item at least once a day (if not much more). If Google were to tackle something like an OS or business software, it would have instant credibility and a loyal userbase.

Google is really the only company with the talent and credibility to pose any threat to Microsoft (if they choose to do so).
I don't use anything from Google. Ever. No search, no email, no maps.........
Poor choice in my opinion.
