I am just curious what companies use high quality caps on their motherboards now with all the past problems?
Also, who makes high quality caps? Any partiular brands?

DFI and ABIT use high quality caps exclusively now. Can't speak for the other brands although, the MSI board I have has all Japanese caps on it. If I recall correctly, the Japanese capacitors have the letter "K" stamped into the tops of them. Here's a site with more info regarding motherboard capacitor issues.

I'm sure being slapped with a lawsuit had something to do with Abit's decision to switch to high quality capacitors.

The capacitors starting with 'k' are probably nichicon which has a good reputation.
