What command or computer settings

I am using a windows and I am wondering what command or settings should I check to ensure my computer is well protected from spywares or virus?

Windows itself doesn't give you full protection. You will need to install addtional Anti-Virus and Firewall (if you are connecting to internet) software to better protect yourself.
