what command in win2k to see how long the pc has been up?

Just wondering...recently my win2k hasn't crashed for a looong time and i haevn't turned it off for a hella long time and I was wondering if there was a command or some way to see the uptime because this morning all the sudden winamp cut off and games have no sound (tho oddly enough I can get songs to play in WMP6.4) so I figured later I'd do a reboot but I was wondering how to find the uptime since I'm interested in knowing its preformance

uptime.exe.

Might be part of the resource kit; all I know is that it's on my machine and works. I don't know how it got there.

Yep uptime.exe is part of the resource kit. You could always look through the event log for event 6005. That shows when the event log was started. This is always recorded on boot up.

or you could go in control panel/admin tools/event veiwer and in sys log it keeps a log of boot up and shut down. it doesn't say that, it says event log but thats bootup & shut down

hope this helps

Type "Systeminfo" (no quotes) at a command prompt, and you'll get your uptime and a whole load of other info.

srvinfo does more or less the same thing. Add -ns to prevent from showing status of services for a little cleaner output.

You can also just control-alt-delete and lock your system. On the window it tells you when it was last logged on.
