What color is your bedroom, your living room, and your kitchen?

I am in the process of renovating my apartment and would like to paint my rooms the following:

Bedroom: Purple/blue or maroon
Living room: Neutral earth tone, some shade of olive brown maybe?
Kitchen: Light blue or light green

What color are the rooms in your home, particularly your bedroom, living room, and kitchen? Are you happy with the colors you selected?

EDIT: I spent a couple hours in Home Depot today and decided on the following colors for my apartment. It is currently in the process of being painted, and will be finished by Thursday.

Bedroom: Brick red
Living room: Cream/bone
Kitchen: Celery green
Bathroom: Ice blue

5 gallons of primer cost $55, and I purchased 5 cans of paint ranging in price from $22-25/each.

I'm pleased with my choices, and will try to take and post some pictures once the work is completed.

A friend of mine is doing all the painting, how much would be a fair amount to pay him? He spent 4 hours priming and painting today, and will finish the paint job tomorrow. He is also going to put in the flooring for me, and has to rip out the current carpet first. The total number of hours he'll work will probably be about 10 or 15 max, what would be a fair amount to pay him for his labor? Thanks!

My house was new when I moved into it - the walls are a terracotta/peach color. I don't mind it, except for the fact that the morons painted the whole ****** house in FLAT paint! Ugh! The walls are showing all kinds of wear and dirty spots - can't wipe it off, because the act of rubbing with a damp rag leaves a mark.

I'm thinking about repainting everything a nice sage green this summer 🙂

master bedroom: looks like deep tan it's called something unintuitive
daughter1 bedroom: light green
daughter2 bedroom: light purple
living room: earthy green
kitchen: light beige

the kitchen is the only room we haven't painted yet. we still have to decide on a color. all the other rooms have been painted since we moved in.

Bedroom: green
Living room: light tan
Kitchen: bright red

The g/f picked out my colors so I can only give a general idea. The kitchen is my fav w/ the white cabinets and black/white granite counter tops. The living room is a really good, light color but the bedroom is the next to be painted (can't stand it).

Currently all white walls. I need to find someone with color coordination to pick some colors out (since it sure isn't me).

Master Bedroom - Tiffany Blue (yuck)
Bedroom 2 - Canary yellow
Bedroom 3 - tan
Living Room - Ultra bright yellow
Kitchen - Orange

Some time ago, I read that the color you select for the kitchen is pretty important. You'll want to eat foods that are on the other side of the color wheel from the color you've used. In other words, using greens will make you want to eat red meats, and using reds and browns make you want to eat leafy vegetables.

Bedroom: Dark Blue
Living Room: Muslin eggshell
Kitchen: Tuscany theme wallpaper(grapes/leaves/vines)

Pics of ours are in your 'flooring' thread.

Hold on, let me go look (I've no idea)...

Bedroom: Mostly white with light blue accent wall.

Living room: same as bedroom, except instead of blue accent wall, it's a blue accent window bay thingy.

Kitchen: Mostly dark woodwork (house was built in 1910, in craftsman style, has most of original wood detail in place). Painted surfaces are white.

Bonus room! Dining room: Mostly dark woodwork again. Strip of yellow paint from about 6' to 7', wood trim above that, then on top there's white paint on walls that curve to the ceiling.

Apparently I just don't notice the colors, since I've lived here for years and didn't know what colors they were without looking. I didn't select any of these colors, they were on the walls when I bought the house.

Thanks for making me take a look at my house!

White... haven't gotten around to repainting yet.
No plans to paint the kitchen. The living room, we're thinking of "whale tail," sort of a blue-grey. One of my friends used this, and it looks decent. We'll still have white crown molding, though.

See here for my paint colors.

That peach (torchlight) kitchen color is a color most people hate on the paint chip. But I've put it in several kitchens so far and everyone loves it. Yet they always say never paint a kitchen any shade of yellow. I don't know why people like mine then, maybe because peach is red enough not to count as yellow.

Note: most of the rest of my house isn't in the yellow family, it is just a fluke that these rooms are similar.

Behr.com is fun to play with, but it is frustratingly slow and doesn't give you all the options you want.

Paint in action. Sorry for the fuzzy picture, the fact that I really don't show the room, and my messed up collar in that photo. But that is the best I can do from here. I need to go home to get more pictures.

Kitchen appliances are all black, countertop is a dark grey with speckles of that peach color in it, and rest is a semi-dark oak real wood floor and cabinets. Accents around the room match that painting.

Bedroom: Dark, Dark Blue
Living Room: Desert Tan
Kitchen: Mauve based Wallcovering

I didn't pick these, by the way, although I do like the Desert Tan in the Living Room.
Everything is done in Pure White trim, with Brass wall plates & accessories.

Very light purple in master bedroom with white trim.
White kitchen with a wallpaper border on the wall at the ceiling.
Dining room is dark red with texture wallpaper that looks and feels like a basket weave below the chair molding.
Living room is white, but we never use that room.
