Mostly at McGill University and University of Toronto, though.
A fair number of my classmates at McGill were from the US (Good school, cheap tuition). McGill is in Montreal, a French-speaking city. Despite the fact that the university was completely in English, most of my American friends could speak French. This Canadian couldn't though.
Montreal was by far the best city for a university student. (P.S. Not that I'm suggesting anything, but the drinking age was - and still is - 18, and my dorm was sponsored by
Labatt's.

Good ploy. For about 2 years after that, I wouldn't drink anything except Labatt's Blue.)
