When I was in elementary school my father hung up a news-clipping with the city name 'Albuquerque' on it and made me memorize the spelling.

I've been back once ~2002; 20+ years after I was born. As we moved away when I was a baby, I don't identify as being from Albuquerque in particular or New Mexico in general.
