I have watched A Charlie Brown Christmas yesterday.

Tonight I am watching A Christmas Carol (Scrooge) from 1951 with Alastair Sims. I love this version of the classic book.

Saturday is reserved for Die Hard. :D

I might watch Charlie Brown, but otherwise, nothing I don't think. Not a big fan of video. I'll likely listen to the Jonathan Winters rendition of A Christmas Carol. He does a really good job with it. Check it out...

So far only Polar Express and I passed out halfway through.

Not really feeling the "holiday spirit" this year. :(

Tom Hanks makes up for it mostly to me. :)

I can just barely hear Santas bell this year.

Probably none. And Christmas was cancelled this year, the host (wife's sister) just informed us they have Covid. And they watch their grandkids all the time...so possibly her whole family.

I tend to watch Home Alone almost every year, at least the first 2, sometimes the 3rd. The others don't exist. Santa Clause and Polar Express are high on the list. Have not actually watched any this year but I'm working overtime right now and maybe that's what I should do here at work. :p

Home Alone/2, Die Hard.

Though technically not a movie, Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas is quite good too.

Some years I watch a Christmas episode of Northern Exposure called Seoul Mates. Given the Native American influence in town of Cicely, there is this ongoing theme involving Ravens and the Indian mythology. And at the end Marilyn tells the story of the Raven.

I used to watch some of the obvious favorites like National Lampoon, but it's getting old. I don't think I can sit through Die Hard again for a long time, great as it is. I do usually watch Bad Santa though.

There is a lesser know movie called Trapped in Paradise, with Nicholas Cage, Dana Carvey, and Jon Lovitz that's not too bad.

From the short list that I could recall off-hand, I'll watch one or two of them each year. I'll rotate them so I don't watch any one of them two years in a row. Some years I might not bother with any of them.

I knew they'd get old (faster) if I watched each of them every year, so it helps to spread them out.

Edit: add 'Scrooged' to the list as well, and 'Surviving Christmas' wasn't the worst holiday movie I've seen. Not a big fan of Affleck in general, but I like Gandolfini and I thought the movie was funny.

2nd edit: I also forgot 'Trading Places' and 'Violent Night' (new one with Leguizamo and David Harbour)
