What chipset does the GA-965P-DS3 use for SATA RAID?

Stumps

as the title states...I'm looking at upgrading to a GA-965P-DS3 in the near future and I would like to know what chipset does the SATA RAID use?

I know it isn't the ICH8R, it is listed as GIGABYTE SATA2 raid, but I would like to know what it really is (eg ITE GIGARAID, Silicon Image, Promise)?

can anybody help me out?

JMicron raid is a little slower than Intel Matrix Raid, by maybe 5% to 15%(?). Not sure about Nforce Raid.

I'm currently using the VIA Raid 0 on my Asrock 4coredual VSTA and I'm very happy with it's performance....would the Jmicron chip perform similar to the VIA setup?

The main consideration when choosing the GA-965P-DS3 is:
Don't plan on using ANY IDE drives.
Just get a SATA optical drive and use with SATA hard drives.
Otherwise, you'll likely run into problems.

I'm using 2 IDE optical drives in my DS3 and haven't had any problems whatsoever. I can't say the same for IDE HDs though.
