What (cheap) video card should I get??

Hi there.

I recently bought a new pc, and now I don`t have money to buy a great video card, so my only opcions now are:

ATI: 9000pro (64mb), 9100 ó 9200SE
Nvidia: Geforce FX5200

well...I live in chile, so these card aren`t very cheap, so anyone can tell me something?...I would like to play with the video card games like halo, max payne 2 and (if I can) Deus ex 2 (thats why I bought my new pc )...

9100 would be the best, though you'll probably have some problems running halo and deus ex 2 with it.

if you can get a refurb 4200, but if not, get the 9100

yeah, www.gameve.com has a Ti4200 -8x for $91 w/shipping if you can afford it... that's the deal i jumped on when i had to buy a card to hold me over until the summer and DX9 is required.

I can`t do that because Im concern about the guarantee policy (if I live in another country).... moving from that, I thought that the fx5200 was a better card than the 9100..

any comments?..suggestions?, please

If you can find a seller you can trust in Chile, a used geforce4 ti4200 would be the best choice. Look at the budget cards review on the main Anandtech page to see how good the gf4 ti4200 still is.

9100 is easily faster than a 5200

Avoid Sapphire 64MB 9100 because of its 64bit memory bus.
