What Characteristics Do You Look At For Buying Stocks?

Looking to come up with guidelines for an investment club and need a consensus of what people use to determine stocks.

EPS, PE and Earnings before tax and interest are things I'm looking in to now.

Also, anyone who has a stock in mind with lots of growth potential in the near future please feel free to share. I'm representing a risky side of the paper portfolio.

Thanks

These are things that I look at usually. In no particular order

-EPS
-Dividents
-ROI
-ROE
- >500 million dollar turnover
-increase of profits and turnover for the last 10 years at least
-general situation/future for the industry

Plus, probably a lot analysing before buying. ust trying to find companies that I think arent as valued as they should be.

Sounds good. Which sites to you use to determine ROI/ROE?

Unless you're an old man looking for dividend paying stocks, you should be looking at one thing: the future of the business compared to the price of the stock. But if you had to ask, you're better off investing in index funds.

Yes, because dividend paying stocks don't grow

I am fully invested in ELN My average price is around $7 & it has great potential to go higher since their drug is coming back to market at the end of June.

That looks like a very risky investment you have there...

Sounds good. Would you mind if I ask how much you've netted (and over how much time) using this strategy?
