Maybe a few might chill out with some weed but most are so far gone they'll just get paranoid about Marxists, socialists and illegals.
Most of these Trumphumpers need a bag of shrooms or a few hits of acid and go out in the woods and have a spiritual awakening. That's their only hope
I'm pretty sure plenty of the right wingers are already on various drugs, I don't see them changing for weed (they'll stick to their speed and meth and huffing paint or whatever some of them are doing, while the teetotalers will keep abstaining).
I don't agree at all on your second statement (and seems completely at odds with your first?). Joe Rogan probably singlehandedly is the source of a lot of batshit conspiracy thought because he's pushing shit like Ayahuasca and there's a shitload of 13-50 white guys listening to that, while opening them up to the "intellectual" right wing (i.e. Peterson, Shapiro, think Alex Jones too, etc).
Which with regards to your first part and I hope moonbeam or whomever was loving Peterson realizes his "OMG we've gotta let these angry young guys get what they want again or the Marxists will kill us all!!!!!!" seems to be the primary thing of his getting through. Major emphasis on them pushing the Marxist are plotting to kill everyone. I had never in real life heard someone talk about Marxists (outside of school), and Jordan Peterson is obscure enough that I have a hunch most would guess he played the villain in Black Panther. I recently had both, in the form of a coworker listening to a literal sermon by an evangelist preaching that Marxists are coming to kill us. And the guy legit believes it and was a big fan of Petersons. And also seems to be of the mindset that people that can't accept proof of god are basically delusional and irrational. There was other conversation between coworkers going on (I wasn't involved in it) and the totality of it all was one of the most bone chilling things I've ever experienced because it really was one of those times you feel the weight of the phrase "banality of evil" and can visibly see it. Where I could tell how indoctrination has blinded them so completely and made them vulnerable to other indoctrination that they're also blind to what its even actually saying or what it historically actually means, while they somehow think they do.
It wasn't even the first time that's happened at my job though. I've had like 3-4 other similar instances where shit that I'd only ever encountered online, crazy shit, that because of the inherent crazy aspects is generally made obscure because people tend to have a baseline ability to see such things, had been manifested into real people talking about them, and in ways that they both did and did not understand how fucked up what they were saying was, like they thought they were imparting some arcane knowledge and they know it'll be viewed as such, but that it is true and so they dared impart it!
Which that's bombastic somewhat to be sure, but I really feel like we're really close to that point, like in Germany, where people feel comfortable openly talking about how Jews are responsible for all their problems and, hmm, well maybe someone should do something about them? While I can see some going "we've been there for awhile already", but generally there was pushback, and often it wasn't calls for violence against whatever group (gays and russians in the 80s, Muslims in the 2000s, immigrants now). Sure Turmp has been but even he often couches his statements. Plus this is different and its more like the roots of that type of shit are taking hold and the seedlings of some new insidious idea are starting to appear. Its the manner in which people are talking about it that is troubling as its creepy because of how its both very benign in how they talk about it (like they just seem to assume its common knowledge and accepted belief), but there's hints of something else going on. I've literally never heard people talk about stuff in this way. Perhaps its because of other reasons, but it feels palpable.
