What cd media is compatible with different players?

I'd really appreciate it if someone could tell me which media is compatible with what players.

For instance, I know 650Mb CDR's work in all players - hifi's, playstations, pc's, etc

I also know CDRW's only work with supported PC drives, not hifi's or playstations, etc

But what about 700Mb CDR's and higher (99 min media)?

I think as long as you stay below 650MB, then a 700MB can be read by the same devices as a 650MB disc. I think it's more what color laser each device uses rather than disc size, to a point.
