So any idea what causes this in Medal Of Honor ? This is the "only" game it does it in. The card is not overheating, it isn't artifacts either. I turned off edge-detect and a lot of them went away.

It looks like it is being caused because a light source on one side is shining on an aliased edge to me. Try bumping AA to 4x or 8x and see if it smooths it a lot

Looks like a driver bug - HalfLife 2 had the same issue with nvidia cards (6800 or was it 7800?) at one time.

I'd report it to AMD if you can.

That’s either shader aliasing or pixel popping. Try super-sampling to see if the problem is reduced.

Im running 11.2 drivers. I am also running 8AA, And it is already running super-sampling.

I usually force all graphical settings from CCC. Running vsync as well.

These are the settings as I played MOH earlier.....

AA = 8xAA + Edge detect
AF = 16
Tessallation = application settings
Catalyst AI = High quality / enable surface format <---what is this one for ?
Vsync = Off unless application specifies
AA Mode = Super Sampling quality
Open GL = Triple Buffering

EDIT: No, I am running a single XFX 6870. The other one is just sitting here waiting on a build to be finished. Both of them in this rig, is pointless. WAY too much overkill "E7200 @ 3.6Ghz"

If this would be a driver bug, how would I report it to AMD ? Never done anything like that before. These are also the first ATi / AMD cards I have had in the last 5 years.

I have the same issue when I play Serious Sam HD First and Second Encounter when I force Enhanced Quality Anti Aliasing, pushing it back to standard 8x FSAA fixed the issue and I have an HD 6970 card. Never had that issue with the HD 4870 CF with Medal of Honor though.

I cant get past the fact of how badly those screenshots need AA.... get rid of those jaggies, and the highlighted jaggies will be less too no?

Use SSAA or MLAA instead of MSAA. For whatever reason, your forcing MSAA in CCC is not being applied to the game and is resulting in those artifacts.

You could also use RadeonPro and try out different AA compatibility profiles to find one that works.

Thanks.

I do have RadeonPro installed. Now when it is running, does CCC need deactivated ? Or can it run at the same time ? I have applied MLAA and other types as well. Some makes the "spots" worse and some makes it better. But so far, have not found "one" setting that takes it all away.
