What causes this effect on monitors?

The display on a monitor is falling or drooping off on the sides. On my monitor at home it just does it on one side. The whole display just kinda falls down to the right a little bit, and I think it's getting worse. Right now I'm at school and it's doing it on both sides. It makes kinda like an arc. The display settings don't phase it....it just looks like the sides are dropping off. I hope I explained it good enough. There's probably a term for it but I don't know what it is. What is the cause of this?
 
it is getting worse? is it moving visibly?
did you try adjusting your monitors geometry settings?
I've never seen anything like that... maybe it's going bad?
