Hey guys and gals please lmk what you think can cause this. It happens on both my home theater speakers and my comp speakers. It only does it when I turn certain lights on in the house, not all of them. Thanks for any help :)

Does turning on the light switch suddenly send power to the speakers? Or are the speakers on, and then you turn the light on, and the speakers pop?

You mean TURNING on/off?
What's not to understand, it just a phrase some people use. Like "turning on/off".

Unless you actually screw and unscrew the light bulb, there is no real turning involved in making the lights go on/off. :p

Frequency is the reason just like running a drill near computer speakers, not that I've done case moding in my room;), but this will also affect this.

Maybe there's a small arc in the switches when you flip them, and it feeds back through the house's electrical system.

maybe theres a little power drop, and the filter caps in the amp arent big enough to compensate..

I would say this is the most likely cause.

About how many swicthes in the house cause this problem?

Are they all on the same circuit as the HT and Comp?

Maybe bad switches.

Is everything grounded properly?

Interesting... cause the little tiny desklamp I have over this monitor causes the computer speakers (2 satellites on each side separate from the monitor) to pop too. It's not like it's much of the circuitry in the house... it's only a small lamp plugged into the same power strip as the speakers.
