Anyone know what causes shaky-ness, even in normal situations?

And how to stop it!

I am no doctor, but I would say that you go see one. Are you Nervous?
Lack of sleep? Lack of food or water? Lack of a natural amount of sex?

e_m_c_2,

Perhaps your last hint towards shakiness is why I shake. I gotta find some...*BLEEP*

Poontos, I have that problem frequently. I've never had it diagnosed or even asked about it though.

It could be something as simple as your diet. If I have too much caffeine my shaking seems to get worse. ;)

Um....illness?

If you've got tremors, it could be a neurological problem, don't you think? Maybe not enough seratonin? Maybe you just need to eat a sandwich - do you have diabetes or low blood sugar? Hypoglycemia?

On the other hand, you might just not be getting enough sleep or you might be like the Cowardly Lion who was scared all the time.

Really, if you are shaking badly enough that people notice, it's time to get a doctor's opinion.

Alcoholism and Parkinsons are a couple. Yes, they are both diseases. :)
Too much caffeine, not enough sleep and emotional distress are some more minor ones. Should see a doctor.

When I drink too much caffeine I get that for a day or 2. Cut back on the high tension foods/drinks, and don't get nervous.

Caffeine does that to me. I have a friend with low blood sugar who has the shakes sometimes. If you don't drink much coffee, go get a blood test.

I don`t drink pop. I go to bed pretty late though. Hmm....

Things shake when they are under strain, like if I am supporting my head or holding something up. Of course there is a normal amount of shaking while under strain, but sometimes I am just above the norm.

I drink a bit less than the average College student!

Even if I do go to bed late, I usually sleep in a bit more. I try and get at least 8 hours most of the time. Does it matter when those 8-9 hours are? Would that have an effect?

Thanks

You're OBVIOUSLY shaking in withdrawal from CRACK Cocaine.

Solution is simple...
Get back on crack or smoke horse manure.

I used to have the same exact problem. I just tried eating healthier and got a little more exercise and I was fine within a couple weeks. It was nothing to worry about - just seemed like my body was telling me to take care of it a little better.

This has been a chronic situation for me as well. Seems to only occur after I'm done urinating. Does that say anything?

Sounds to me like some combination of poor nutrition, and lack of exercise.

Go see a doctor.
