What causes my Inspiron 11 3000 to not turn on?

A few times in the last week, I've had the problem of the 2-1 not turning on. It'd be fully charged, but when I press the power button, nothing happens. I've pressed the power button for up to a minute and still nothing. The only thing that seems to "fixes" this is to remove the battery then re-seat it. What would cause this? Seems to be a common problem with Dell.

Contacted Dell. Updated BIOS, video and chipset drivers and while on the phone with support, ironically, he had me shutdown and it didnt want to turn back on. I'm sending it in anyways because the 3.5mm port isnt working properly and they'll most likely have to replace that. I upgraded the hdd to an ssd, should I put the oem hdd back in?

If the audio jack isn't working either, it's a good idea to get the machine replaced since you have it under warranty.

Got the machine back about a week ago and all they did was re-install the OS! They didn't even fix the audio jack, which I explicitly stated was an additional problem on all my discussions/emails/chats with Dell. They've since sent me another box so I can resend it for the audio issue. But so far, I haven't had random shutdowns, or needed to re-seat the battery.

Just an update. Sent the machine in and turnaround was about a week. They replaced the mobo and I/O daughterboard. System appears to be working fine and the process was relatively easy. Except for the fact that I had to send it in twice, but at least it's working now. No real "solution" to the problem that they report back to me, but, it's working fine for now.
