it is called refresh rate. You must be running at 60hz while gaming. This usualy can be fixd by using power strip. I assume you are running win2k with a nvidia card

Flickering can either be due to the output signal flickering, a loose cable or if you have flourescent lights in the room and your monitor refresh is set at 60Hz you'll see the scan lines (or flickering).

Is it only with certain games? What about while emailing/surfing?

Do you run your games at the same resolution as your desktop?

Check what mode your monitor is running in when windows is running (it should tell you the refresh rate), then check it when you're playing your game.

you can check your refresh rate in windows' control panel display. change it down to 60 or whatever the others recommended.

With my 1001st post, I bless thee with a simple point-and-click solution:

Windows 2000/XP NVidia Refresh Rate Fix

My guess is it'll work for WinME just fine as well, because it doesn't seem to care much about the OS when I've used it. Keep us updated if it works out...
