what caused this accident in your opinion?

there's this video that is causing lots of noise in my state because this ligurian guy released an earlier interview where he said really funny stuff that didn't mean anything and now he's threatening to sue the uploader who uploaded his parade fail for calling him a bully (meaning a show-off).
He said something about the rear brake pump falling off and having to brake with the front brake.

So I ask you guys on here: is this thing an epic fail of someone trying to show off or a genuine accident?

It looks like he sped up and then tried to lock up the back wheel to get it to slide. Slide turned into fall. My conclusion is "epic fail".

I hope we wasn't trying to slide, but it does look like he gunned it and locked up the brakes and then fell.

Looks like he locked the front wheel. I'm guessing alcohol was involved. Luckily nobody standing along the roadway was injured.
