This is my system:

550-watt Antec Modular TrueControl
Asus A8V Deluxe
Socket-939 AMD Athlon 64 FX-53
2GB of Corsair DDR SDRAM PC3200 (four 512MB DIMMs)
Western Digital 74GB Raptor (x2)
Maxtor 200GB SATA Drive
Pioneer DVR-108
Plextor PX-712SA
ATI Radeon X800 XT Platinum Edition
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro

What sort of case/cooling do you think I need. How many fans.

Are you going to overclock? I'll assume, no.

I suggest an all aluminum case that appeals to you the most. Anything from Coolermaster, Lian Li, or Antec is a great choice.

Try to get one with 120mm fans to save on noise.

if you get a case with 2-in 2-out 80mm fans, then get 4 panaflo L1a's and put 2 of them on the antec fan connector (1 in 1 out).
A case with a 120mm in and 120mm out would be better though, antec 3700BQE or something.

how'd you rate your wants with regard to noise:airflow ?

With a spec like that I take it you're spending extra on a quality cpu heatsink aswell (thermalright or zalman), or going water?
