Hmmm... anyone remember the name of the cartoon with Michael Jordan, Bo Jackson, and Wayne Gretzky? They were like some kind of team... don't remember if they had super powers or not.

there's this one cartoon that they used to show on USA netowork but i cant figure out what the name of the cartoon was (i was too young)...

it was about some guy who had the power to turn into a race car (or some fast, nice looking car) whenever he gets wet or touches water.....anyone recall?

Looney Toons are the only cartoons I can watch over and over again and still laugh my ass off. I especially like the Bugs Bunny one where he is massaging Elmer Fudd's head and puts some lotion on and then flowers start to grow. Then they start to face off with guns, then cannons, and then they get married. All this while set to classical music. One of my most favorite cartoons. Haha!

These are in pseudo-chronological order too.
Cartoons:
Looney Tunes
Mickey Mouse/Donald Duck
Tinytoons
Animaniacs

Nonanimated shows:
Mr. Rogers
Sesame Street
Star Trek: TNG

A few others I'm sure, but those are some of the favorites over the years.

Good call. Bugs won an Oscar for that one. It's "What's Opera, Doc?" and based on Richard Wagner's work...mostly from The Ring of the Nibelungs (which, btw, is probably the best performace I ever saw on PBS' Live at the Met series. :)

No, I believe the scene he's describing is from "The Rabbit of Seville", which, while also an opera, is based on the Rossini opera The Barber of Seville.

"What's Opera, Doc?" includes Elmer Fudd in Viking gear (with horned helmet) singing "Kill the wabbit, kill the wabbit, kill the wabbit" to Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries.

God bless Chuck Jones.
