What cars have you driven that were fun when driving at posted speed limits?

Any car can be fun on a track or when breaking the law. What are the cars you've owned that were fun to drive while staying within the limits of the law?

my MR2 is pretty fun around the corners. Super-tight steering and the mid-engine design means it almost feels like you're steering by thought.

That I've owned or that I've driven?

SL500 was definitely fun, but mostly because I had girls screaming at me from their car windows while I had the top down. :D

an 88 (or 89) MR2 (The older style one, with sharp lines)

took it for a test drive and thought it was very fun

ended up getting a more practical 4-door
I'd definately consider it as a secondary fun car if I could ever justify it

The first brand new car that I ever owned, a 1981 Mazda RX-7. Man that thing handled like a go-cart with a real engine!

As one car magazine says, it is more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow. But I'd think it'd be more fun to drive a fast car slow than a slow car slow.

my folks had one (but when i was too young to drive :) )

i like my 89 mazda 323, especially in the wet around town ;)

wild, predictable understeer, great brakes, great throttle control and very predictable in everyway...bit slow off the line tho ;)

Jaguar Vandem Plas -- dads
s500 -- grandma
RSX -- mine
z3 -- grandpas (both)
Miata -- grandma

all of them were thrilling cars to drive for different reasons

Classic mini cooper John Cooper Special in country lanes: lots of fun, yet kinda legal (if driving without due care wasn't a crime, that is).

'00 Nissan Maxima GLE = w00tness. Had fun changing lanes in highways.

Been driving for five years and my record is still clean. :D

Now I'm driving my own '04 Nissan Xterra. :(

An MG Midget. It belonged to a friend of mine, and it had a rusted out floor so you could see the road by looking down, and the steering was really iffy. It was a thrill to ride in at any speed :p

1973 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale Convertible... hard loaded. Best car I ever had. It didn't get miles per gallon it got smiles per gallon.

You haven't lived until you have had a car like that.

88 celica gt - first car memories
92 nissan 300z - very fun car, handling is awesome.
90 supra turbo - doesn't handle as well as the Z but make up for it in brute power with simple modifications.

300zx - T tops off and beefed up suspension. Felt like a dream on the highway.
