I got my parents old '90 Ford Aerostar Minivan with 190K miles when I got it...

My grandmother also gave me her 92' Dodge Spirit with like 40K miles on it when she was no longer capable of driving it.

Bought my first car when I was 18... 1984 Dodge 600 4-spd manual... got it for $500....

My first new car was a 2003 Nissan Altima 2.5S...

The first car that I got to drive around in was a 1980 Datsun 200SX... wasn't really mine, though.
The first car I bought was a 1992 Geo Prizm, in 1998.
Somebody gave me a 1973 Super Beetle a couple years ago (somebody gave it to them, and they just wanted someone to actually take care of it instead of leave it in storage).

Since I ended up earning a full scholarship for college, my parents paid for half of my ride during my senior year in HS. I ended up getting a nice, used '93 GMC Sonoma with the "beefy" 4.3L 6-cyl and nice trim package. It was just under $9K (I had $4,000 saved up,) which was rediculously high, but that was the time when small trucks seemed to be all the rage and vastly over-priced.

My first new car ws a 2000 Mazda Protege I got when I got my acceptance letter and salary info for my curent job. I pretty much got reamed on the deal there, but I was so happy to get a new car, I didn't care at the time.

I was never truely given a car.

I didn't have anything to drive until I was ~17. Even then it was the car my dad bought the year I was born AND I had to pay monthly a small amount to use it. It was a 1977 or 1978 AMC Concord (I forget the exact model year). Four door version of this, but covered in rust and nothing functional. It even came with a free bonus feature that caused the car to stall at every stop sign/light in winter. At ~19 I got to upgrade to a 1991 Toyota Tercel, looked exactly like this even the color. it worked flawlessly. I still had to pay a small amount to my parents to use it. This time though I paid them KBB value at the time I started using it and they paid me KBB value back at the time my brother started using it.

I was never given a car. I didn't get my first one until after college, which was a 2004 WRX. I kept it for the year and moved onto a Legacy GT.

Drove my dad's 1991 Sable for a while after I got my license, didn't take it to college

It died while I was away, after my freshman year I drove a 2001 Taurus my Dad bought as a vehicle for the kids

Went away for another year of college, got a job summer job away from home, bought a car (paid cash). This is just a few months ago - driving my very own 1997 Lincoln Town Car.

I got my dad's 1997 Ford Taurus in January of this year to use for the 6 - 8 months I had during the last half of my senior year and before I go off to college. I think it will probably be sold at the end of August and then I most likely will not own a car for the next 4+ years.

Spoiled is getting a brand new car bought just for you... inheriting an old car from your folks isn't spoiled...

First car was intended to be a '94 ford escort handed down to me.

that died before it reached me, so my parents bought me a spanking new '99 eclipse spyder gs the day i got my license. yeah, spoiled. that was the year my family started doing really well though, dad and mom each broke the 6 figure mark

stupidity killed that car, so my next car we split 50/50 (ended up more like 70/30 them, i was 17) - 00 jeep wrangler sahara

last year i purchased my first car, on my own finances, which will be paid off in dec 08 - 06 infiniti g35 aero/pre

next car, who knows? probably won't happen until at least a year or two after i purchase a house.

Got an '82 (IIRC) Chevy Citation in '87 because my dad got tired of driving me to college. I was only permitted to drive it to and from home which was 500 miles away :) the first year, then it was fully gifted to me and I could drive it whenever. That's it.
