What cards exist in PCI-e 1x?

I know there's a few NICs out there, but what other cards exist in a PCI-e 1x flavour yet?

PCI-e 16x video is sure taking off - but what about the "little dudes with the attitudes"?

Uh dude, from my understanding, Creative is sticking with PCI (no Express) on their new card.

The only PCI-E cards are some SATA, and SCSI HBAs plus some GigaBit Ethernet cards most of the SCSI and SATA cards are actualy PCI-E x4 although I think I saw at least 1 or 2 models of each in a x1 format. I also know their was some Firewire 800 PCI-E x1 cards anounced altho I dunno if they are buyable or not yet. PCI-E for PERIPHERALS is taking a very long time to get off the ground. I'd think sound cards, Ethernet and Controler cards would be prime targets for an eventual move to PCI-E but until the installed base gets much larger I don't see many manufactures releasing products, just not a big enough installed base yet.

That new PPU will be PCI-E, and supposedly also regular PCI... although it seems that might saturate your PCI bus pretty easily.

PPU??

Physics Processing Unit
And supposedly it's going to be for PCIe 4x.

So my guess is this:
PCIe 16x for videocards
PCIe 4x for PPU
regular PCI for everyting else.

Atleast until the put more PCIe lanes on the boards.

Nah. I think that companies will move to PCI-E when their products demand more bandwidth. I think PCI is like 10 years old or something like that. 😛

HOLY CATFISH, Batman! Didn't see that one coming! :Q
It's not made by Bitboys Oy! is it? 😉
There's gotta' be some threads here on that one.....
