are you asking if they are geforce 4 mx cards or telling us?

I use to have one and the pic looks about right but no way to tell for sure. Geforce 4 mx is like 4 generations ago and couldn't possibly play any new games and any decent resolutions/framerates.

I don't know what they are. A guy is offering them for sale saying they are nvidia, but knows nothing else.

After some looking around I think they are indeed a reference mx440 board. I have no idea why someone would lay them on the carpet.

Take the heatsink off wipe away the cooling goup and tell us what it says on the GPU, its the only way to be sure, that and stick them in a system and pray its not old style AGP. :)

They look like GeForce 2 MX's or even older. Possibly Generation 1 Radeon cards or the original GeForce DDR.

Those massive chips on the right of the card are the early style DDR memory; I remember having an original Radeon with RAM like that.

There should be a product number on the back of the card (either on a sticker or printed somewhere on the PCB). Get that product number and google it.

If you look at the connector, it's your standard keyed AGP 4X card, so it will work in any new AGP motherboard. Best way to find out is to plug it in ;). It won't fry a new board - that is definitely an AGP 4X connector.

Read the thread. If he had the cards, I don't think he would have posted this ;)
If you do buy them, make sure to get a guarantee against DOAs. Why people put computer hardware on carpet (seen it done many times) is beyond me. I don't think it actually hurts it, but better safe than sorry.

I have more or less confirmed they are Nvidia GeForce 4MX of some kind, If you look at a GeForce 4 reference board you will see they are mostly the same. These are actually Mac cards, the guy that has them knows nothing about them, which is why I was asking here. He guarantees no DOA, supposedly. If I actually had them in hand I wouldn't be asking for input here, obviously, nor would I slide them around on the carpet...heheh...
