What card should I get??

I was thinking of upgrading my grafx card but dont know what to get.
Is it worth upgrading now or should I wait till dx11??
I see some good deals but I dont want to get stuck with something that wont play Inferno or alen wake.
Ummm what to do what to do??
 
4890 crossfire performs well for the money in an x58 rig. There is one in Hotdeals right now for $117 AR.

You could also wait for twin GTX380's (lots of cash - christmas time) or a 5870X2 (big money also - October)

Edit: I just wanted to add that it's hard to beat the price/performance of the 4890 right now with basically any other recommendation.
 
I know I seen it in the hot deals section and the damn little buy it now devil is on my shoulder again wispering go ahead get it you know you want it
but on the other shoulder I have the little dont buy it angel telling me to wait till dx11 🙁

When the DX11 cards come out you'll then have the devil saying buy it now and the angel saying wait till they come down in price.

When the DX11 cards come down in price you'll then have the devil saying buy it now and the angel saying wait for DX12..........

When the DX11 cards come out you'll then have the devil saying buy it now and the angel saying wait till they come down in price.

When the DX11 cards come down in price you'll then have the devil saying buy it now and the angel saying wait for DX12..........

That's a little different, because were talking time frames here. The DX11 cards are so close now, compared to a DX12 card. And it's not the same as waiting for a price drop, were deciding on waiting for cards that are potentially a much higher performance leap than usual upgrades.

Exactly! In fact, it could probably add DX11.1 in between. You'll always be chasing the technology, so relax, buy a card now, and enjoy your games. 🙂
 
Speaking of waiting for a price drop, don't forget ATi's planned "$50 cut across the board to msrp" that starts in a week. :beer:
