I have a Matrox video card. It could be Matrox G400. Im not sure. How can I tell which model it is and how much memory it has? It has 4 chips of memory on it. How much is it?

Please help.

My friend gave it to me. He didn't tell me what card it is. Im sure its a Matrox card. Its written on it. But what model and how much memory? Its an AGP card.

No, it has only a single moniter hookup. It has 4 chips, which i assume are memory chips, on the same side as the heatsink (the black structure with rows and columns of upward projections. think it is the heatsink).

On the memory chips its written:
0316169CT3D
80 01L2303
I B M 5352
903701410 PQ

On the circuit board the following is written:
MATROX
834-00 REV_A
COPYRIGHT 1998

Also, there is a sticker on it which says:
G2/MECOA/8BI/20
ASSEMBLED IN
CHINA 000

How good is this Matrox Milleniium G200? Is it upgradable?
Anyone has a pic of this card? Is it worth having it? It hasn't been used much.
Also, it tends to get very hot even though it has a heatsink, no fan.

hominid skull,

the link in ur first post above says:

G2/MECOA/8BI/20 makes it a Matrox Millenium G200 LE 8 MB SDRAM, AGP bulk

And the first link in ur third post above says that MATROX MILLENIUM G200 LE 8MB SDRAM, AGP bulk is neither memory nor multimedia upgradable.
