Crysis will probably be REALLY slow on either card. I wouldn't get either. I'd try to get an X1900XT(can be had fairly cheap now and provide very good performance) or some variant of the 7900 series if you want a cheap card.

Well, my friend's system is agp. Maybe it's time to say goodbye to agp? I have a 7900GT right now, and I plan to upgrade right before crysis and unreal2007 come out.
edit: how do you think a 7600GT would fare?

He can go X1900 Pro if it ever comes out (is it out yet?).

Otherwise, X800GTO is the better card I believe, but Crysis is probably going to be unplayable on anything less than a 7900GT. And that is making huge IQ sacrifices depending on resolution.

Wait for a while and get a x1950pro AGP, if it ever comes out it'll be great value for people with AGP systems and a decent CPU. A relatively cheap and simple upgrade, just pop the card in and away you go. It should be good enough to handle Crysis at low-medium resolutions (1280x1024) with most details on.

Does anyone know if an 8800GTS would be able to handle crysis maxed out? Anyone have any idea yet?
