okay? so you're trading an old POS japanese car for an old POS american car?

He'd be getting a classic car, something with some value. That camry is a POS, can't even compare it to a classic

didnt i say no japanese?

Yeah but G35 coupe is a mandatory response. You can't fvck with that.

I do not want a japanese car. i just simply dont want any asian cars.

i've had enough of them.

at this point, i'd MUCH rather have the persuit special out of mad max (but with a working supercharger, and a 429 overbored) than anything else.

barring importing a ford falcon XB to america, the turino is probably the best option to get it looking relatively like what i want. just gonna have to do a LOT of custom fiberglass work.

Okay, I'll bite.

Why?

need i say more?

An old POS American car with a metric assload of horsepower.
Domestics use the imperial unit for power, fool. 😛

there's something to be said about style. i dont want some crappy ass car that everyone else has. i looked around at my school while i was walking back to my car, 90% of cars there were japanese/korean. it was pathetic.

Wait, so you don't want any Japanese cars becuase you don't like your '83 Camry? 😛If you get rid of your Camry, you will not like it when you need to seriously be driving.

You'll have to fill the tank up everytime you step on the gas if you get a 500. 😛

My advice would be to keep the camry or get an economical gas saver, and the project car for just that.. a project.

Or a WRX STi. 😀

my camry dont even have Air conditioning. it's very rough in San Diego without air conditioning. especially in the region where i live. (essentially prior to civilization, a desert)

and, admittedly, were i to get an old muscle car, i know it wouldnt have A/C in it, but that's justifyable, cause it's a muscle car 😀

EDIT:

and you're off by a year. it's '84 🙂

I know - by his logic, you shouldn't EVER buy anything american because of this car: http://www.pontiac.com/aztek/index.jsp?source=hmlnav 😕

Wowzers, you are arguably cutting out some of the best cars out there if you're cutting out all japanese cars

1966 GTO

I had a 1968 Olds Delta 88 (455 rocket/3 speed auto) 15 years ago. 10 mpg max and I think it was missing on 2 cylinders. The car weighed close to 5000lbs so it needed that engine.

I don't think you're gonna find a lot of 500+ CI engines in cars. GM sells new 502 (502HP) crate engines link. I would stick with a HO small block for reduced weight and better handling.

hehe, i'm actually thinking about getting a 70 sumthin oldsmobile, just for that 500+ cu inch engine. 😀

the early 70's ford tourino is also an option, though. then replacing a lot of parts... and fitting in a 429 in there, and reboring... and a supercharger...

/me druels

Only Caddy had a 500 cid engine.

Cadillac,Fleetwood,Deville etc.
