It looks like some sort of Prius?

Also was the front passenger seat removed or is it laying flat?

Yup a 2nd gen Prius...not sure about that front seat either. In a 3rd gen I think there would be more of a hump.
 
Seat is removed and likely replaced with something to hold up the bed. The seat doesn't fold flat like that.
