Is it odd that I've never seen a driveway that just has 2 strips of concrete to park the vehicle on?

My favorite part is the "cage" which isn't actually protective, but just a giant death-trap.

-mitered tube joints = automatic tech fail because they're huge stress concentrations and very likely to fail
-jogged side-impact bar that doesn't have any crumple distance until it buckles and impales the driver/passenger
-lack of forward support
-lack of rear support

It's a text-book on how not to design and build a cage. Literally nothing is done properly.

The "cage" was the first thing I noticed. I envisioned the side bar sheering in half and impaling the driver.

I don't understand how you can do bodywork that badly. I mean, the best thing about bodywork is that you essentially have infinite redos. Oh, that's lumpy? Sand it some more? Sanded too far? Filler or build primer.

Sheet metal not straight? Hammer. Made it worse? Hammer more. Still kinda 'meh'? Get it close enough that a skim coat of filler will level it. It may not be show quality. Or symmetrical. Or...very good at all. But any dumbass can at least make something smooth with some sandpaper and a block of wood.

Well...I guess not ANY dumbass...

It seriously looks like he painted over birdshit.

Did anybody else think of the old SNL commercial for the Adobe Car when they saw this thing?
