Ok, ok, hookers and blow. Or in my case, Lego and guns.

But with that out of the way, what else can you do with large amounts of cash that doesn't involve the government becoming suspicious?

- You have to report taking $10K or more out of the country.
- You have to report foreign bank accounts over $10K.
- If you try to deposit $10K or more, then the government is notified.
- If you try to buy a house or car and use $10K or more, the government is notified.

What is left to do?

I guess you could just buy everything you can with cash, but that's limited as a lot of things like computer parts can only be bought online in most places. One of life's biggest expenses is also bills, and not individual items. So you still want to find a way to use that cash to pay your bills otherwise it's almost pointless to have it as you still need to keep working.

Actually, do those pay day loan places that do cheques take cash? You could write cheques via those services using cash then use cheques to pay bills or other large purchases that normally can't be done in cash. I think some online stores may even take cash? Would be a pain in the ass though, but I guess some utilities might let you prepay a large amount, so you could maybe prepay your utilities in large chunks a few times a year.

Could also give lot of money to family and friends and have them write you cheques. Though I imagine that might raise flags too. I would imagine they don't only look at amounts over say 10k, but probably also over time.

Can always start a carwash. :D

I'm already prepaid for 3-5 years on utilities. I'm actually even thinking of going to 10 years now.

Can always start a carwash. :D

Then you'll just make the problem worse:

How much cash are we talking about here?

As long as your not structuring I doubt the IRS would be too concerned with it unless it's ridiculous. It's not worth their time to go after a person who make a single $40,000 cash deposit. Many people have cash that's been handed down through generations.

1. get TFO of the US

you go to america to make money. One you haf the mony, you don't need to America any more.

find yourself a little tropical paradise, build a nice house / zombie-bunker by the water, and then import your preferred number of chicks at the same time.

Buy property and show up with a wheelbarrow of cash

light cigars with $100 bills or replace your toilet paper with them

go to your local poor neighborhood and light a giant pile of it on fire

make many trips to the cayman islands and deposit ~$6,000 at a time. I think you can still buy tickets with cash in the airports.

This is basically the problem people in the Marijuana industry are having. Banks don't want cash anymore and will close accounts with too many large cash deposits.

Hire a personal chef? Buy a $9000 used Lincoln and hire a Chauffeur for cash? Hire a butler? Hire a personal Mechanic for your collection of $9000 classic cars? Come on, you have tons of things you can blow < 10K at a time on.

Get a bank deposit box and store the cash in there. Make withdrawals and deposit a few thousand at a time in a normal checking account. Yes you will have to structure your deposits to avoid any attention. I'd also withdraw from the safe dep box and deposit into a checking account on different days.

If you can't figure out how to funnel money to offshore accounts without the government knowing about it you don't deserve to be rich.

I like the concept of using your equity to score favor....but I'm fairly certain they track what you actually bet too. I mean, it's their business to watch you close. I've never been to vegas because I was never rich enough to throw money away there...definitely sounds like a good way to spend some of it on entertainment.

That depends entirely on whether you have only cash, or you just happen to have a fairly normal financial life with things like bank accounts, credit cards, a credit history and good rating - and a large amount of cash.

With some credit, there's very little you can't do with large amounts of cash. Buy a home, pay your monthly mortgage with cash. Same with a car. Buy any damned thing you like with a credit card and pay the monthly credit card bill in cash.
