so, i'm in highschool, and while i was away this summer, some people were ringing my house every night at 3 in the morning, and my parents would pick up and these people would ask if i was there, and every night my parents would tell them i was still away, but they'd continue to keep calling every night, still asking for me. They pretended to be one of my friends, but they obviosly weren't.
So, the same people did the same thing early this morning at 3am. I can't be be bothered to put up with this, because it's annoying my parents, not me, they are the ones who have to pick the phone up at these times.

So if england, you can dial 141 then the number, and the reciever cannot trace the callers number. This is what these girls have been doing. So, i think i have an idea of who it is, but i don't want to confront them if i don't have proof. So, i was thinking, if i call up the phone company, who i am sure log all the calls, do you think they'd give me a name or number, if i state the time in which i recieved these calls? I just want to know who it is. I know it's all 'fun' to occasionally prank call people (apparently), but this isn't funny because they are calling my house line and annoying my parents, not calling my cell and annoying me.

Ideas?

call police and file a harsment report. Then found from your local phone company the code that u need to dial after they call. As soon as they hang up u dial the call and your phone company records the number. The # will not be released to u but it will be released to police.Good luck. Also get a caller id it may help.

Tell your folks to let the answering machine take the call. Turn off the ringer. If they take the call, have them record the call with your answering machine (assuming yours can like mine can).
