What can you do about a Missing Rebate Submission?

I made a rebate submission to Buy.com but it's not showing up.

I've mailed several Buy.com Rebates and all of them show up (rejected) *knock on wood* but one is missing.

Can I contest this in any way ?

I've already sent them an email about the other rebates.

in general, if it's not certified mail they can claim it never arrived. the other option would have been to have kept copies. has the 6-8 weeks expired?

I kept copies of all my rebates.

Ill have to contact buy.com and contact the rebate company about this, or i'll file a dispute with my CC company.

call the rebate folks (if the period you're supposed to wait has expired) and see if they've received it. tell them you're resending a photocopy by certified mail.

any rebate guys feel free to contradict me, i'm awful about stuff like that that requires organization.

I don't think you need certified mail...Delivery Confirmation or Signature Confirmation (both cheaper than Cert) should do it. Also, if the company has an online support option, try emailing them a scan of your receipts/UPCs, since that's free, and mail costs $$.

When you talk to a live person, get a fax number for them.
Fax the informatiion.
Wait 1 hour and then call back and get ahold of the person that you faxed the docs to. verify that the docs were recieved.
Have then tell you how long it will take before the rebate shows up in the system.
Allow one extra day and then check.

Repeat the process if needed, by going up the chain.

If that fails, contact the manufacturer customer service about the issue.
Repeat steps again.

They should step in and get the problem corrected.
