I don't think anyone has mentioned it yet, but there's also the Winchester Mystery House. I don't know how much of a tourist attraction it is though. I was born, raised, and still live in San Jose and to this day I've never been there. Kind of sad really.

I've been there! Cool freaky house built by a totally insane woman. Pretty cool.

Other stuff...big parks and great views from the Oakland/Berkeley hills, Mt. Diablo, and Mt. Tam.

Chinatown in SF is always interesting. Great clubs and restaraunts all over SF.

What are you looking for? You can always just buy me a couple beers when I get off work downtown.

That place is a skankfest, you couldn't pay me to go. If you're really into the sex club scene there's MUCH nicer places, like beautiful party. That's where I met my friend. :)

If you go there, make sure you don't offend anyone... very liberal there.

The wrong comment may make people wilt over faster than the unwatered flower that's in their hair.

Very tolerant around here for the most part Marshalj, but maybe you could enlighten us with a story of the problems that you've had here and how it compares to your homeland?

yes please, enlighten.

there are mainly 2 people i ever really meet in the Bay Area.

the people who are so laid back (pot or not), don't give a crap what you say. They dismiss you as stupid and ignorant and then leave it at.
then there are the policital ones. ones that will get huffy and puffy and rip your head off.

both entertain me.

i wonder what his wrong comment was? call someone a beloved patriot or n*gger? too many minorities in ca? white people are dipping below 50% now. we're damned tolerant.

well, we're less tolerant of the "god hates fags" religious fanatics that pepper the south. hehe

and calling us liberal is kinda ignorant. certain areas/sf bay area are very liberal, but other parts of the state are conservative.

What would make you think I was offended? I just wanted to hear about the problems that you've had.

Sounds like you haven't had any though.

Actually I had a good time when I was there. No problems.
