What can I use to strip the wax off my floors?

Floor stripper would be the obvious choice but I can't find any . Do they hide it under some weird name or am I just an idiot?

ATM I am just trapping the dirt under more and more layers of wax .

Ammonia will do it but I forget the dilution so experiment with it.
