What can I use to restore the data from my crashed Vista Box?

My box crashed... i've tried everything so i'm not even going to get into what the issue is, I'm simply trying to save ~100mb of data from it.

ERD Commander is what I used to use for XP and eariler OS's it doesn't find my Vista install though.

I'm looking for something similar, or even a Linux LiveCD that would work with the NTFS filesystem and the fact that some parts have had their file ownership limited to a specific user on the Vista box.. and thats where most of the files I need to save are located (ie: c:\users\user_name\documents)..

any ideas? thanks
