I am replacing my iPad 8 digitizer and also installing a new home button. It's been sitting apart for a few days while I was waiting for parts. I went to put it all back together tonight and I can't find the pad the arrow in the photo is pointing to. It covers the home button cable. I'm afraid it may have fallen off the table and got sucked up in the vacuum. I've searched online but haven't been able to find a replacement. Maybe because I don't know what to call it. Can anyone tell me what this material is and where I might get some so I can make a replacement pad?
Thanks

Make best guesstimate of how thick it was, then web search for (since it's black, is probably ESD conductive IF that matters):
ESD foam pad adhesive lined.

OR, just find something. Like the liner from footwear or piece of felt, and adhere it with double sided tape, rubber cement, or spray adhesive (spray onto foam before installing).

OR, just get some single sided foam tape (or adhesive on both sides but don't take the liner off one side). The thin type used for craft projects/etc, not the thick stuff used to insulate building doors/etc. Office supply stores and Amazon should have it among other merchants.

All good ideas. I didn't know if there was anything special about it, such as does it have to be conductive. I don't want to use something that will cause a problem. The material is fairly dense.
