What can I use a second switch for?

I'm going to have 2 switches mounted in a 3.5in bay plate on the front of my case.
One I'll use for my cold cathode light(s), But I dont know what to use the other for. Fans aren't an option, I'm going to use a rheobus for those.

I could just leave a switch in there, not connected to anything, but I might as well use it for something.
I dont want anything too extreme.

Idea's?

dunno how...or if it's possible with that switch as it's late and i don't want to think....but you can try to attach it to your cmos reset so you don't have to do in and flip the jumper whenever you mess up an overclock or whatever....

A CMOS reset switch would be awesome! If anyone knows how to make one, please post instructions or a link to instructions or something. This was all I found in a quick search.

It is very possible to make it a cmos reset switch. I like that idea very much. What you would have to do is get a three position switch(aka an on-off-on). hook one set of wires to an on position and to the left and center pin. Then another set of wires to the other on positon and to the center and right pins. Leave the switch in the on position for whatever is default on your mobo and when you want to reset just unplug the computer and move the switch all the way to the other on position. If I confused you at all please PM me. I could set up a more comprehensive set of instructions.

Update: Changed my mind. A sigle pull double throw switch would work better. that way you would just hook your wires from your pins directly to the pins on the back of the switch and just throw the switch. there would be no off position it would switch instantly from one to the other.

only problem i see with that is when people are over, and they want to play with your switches, they flip that one, then u have to redo everything in bios, should make it a key switch, that way they couldnt reset cmos easily

you couldn't really do that. You could put a key in the switch in line with the reset line but you run into problems still in that are because taking off the jumper or in this case flipping the switch to a dead position would be bad!
