What can I return to Microcenter?

Alright, my computer recently wasn't booting because someone snapped the USB port off the computer. This caused a short that caused it not to boot. I assumed it was a power supply problem and bought a new power supply from Microcenter, but now it seems that I didn't need it after all.
However, I already opened the new power supply. Microcenter's return policy says they'll only do exchanges (and not returns) on service parts, but I'm not sure if a power supply qualifies as a service part as not. Anyone have any experience?

They list "motherboards and processors" as "service parts.
I'd think a PS would fall into that catagory also.

I wouldn't go through the hassle of returning it. A spare PS is a very nice item to have laying around, just in case...

Ouch... Make sure you follow their policy if you do return it.

"If Customer fails to return Product(s) in accordance with Micro Center's Return Policy and its how to return an item policy, in any manner, including, but not limited to, (i) returning Product(s) without prior authorization from Micro Center, (ii) returning Product(s) beyond the period prescribed by Micro Center for returning the Product in the Return Policy, (iii) returning Product(s) without an RMA number written on the shipping label, or (iv) returning Product(s) without proper packaging, Micro Center reserves the right to: (a) refuse to accept delivery of such return and to charge the customer the retail price of such Product(s) at the time the Product(s) were shipped to the customer (as determined by Micro Center) plus a charge of $60.00 to cover Micro Center's collection and handling costs;"

I guess I'll keep the power supply.
The old one was an Antec Neo 480W power supply, way old (close to 4 or 5 years) and had very poor efficiency (around 50% under light loads, and around 70% when pushed to the max). The new one is an Antec 650W Earthwatts, and with how much more power video cards use these days, I probably needed it.

I've been wanting to build a media center PC, perhaps I'll throw the old one in one.
