My system consists of:
Celeron 300A @ 450
Abit BH6
256 pc-100 cas2 ram

What should I get to get the most speed out of my system without replacing the mboard and ram? Which CPU will give me the most gain? Oh yeah, and I don't mind OCing

I'm also using the BH6. I got a C2-533 @ 896 @ 1.65v stable.
Cheap and pretty quick ;)

Will the BH6 auto set voltage for the C-II's and Coppermines or do you need a slocket with voltage adjustment on it?

Biggest BX Bang for buck upgrade is Celery II (@ whatever)

You can get them pre-tested up to 1000mhz (Guaranteed).

I believe compuwiz1 on forsale/trade sells them here , or try fleabay.

Save yourself the time and get a pre-tested package (slotket/Gorb hs/f) and cpu. Its worth the $$

or consider the extra $100 and get a nicer P3 package. The performance of the cel 2 would be better enhanced with a geforce 2

Using C566 @850 1.55V. You should get the latest BIOS. One just released is BH6_SS which supports pretty much all the Celeron II's and PIII's at this point. It does autodetect and set appropriate voltages. Lark

P.S. I could only get this BIOS at the www.abit.com.tw site. The other regions (US, Europe, etc.) didn't have the new BIOS mirrored yet. Release date was 7/6/00.

mlvance,

All BH6's have voltage adjustment in the bios and you do need an adapter but that is because the BH6 is slot1 and the copper celery's are socket 370.
