I asked my fiancee to get some crawfish from the store and she buys the frozen ones from China. I don't want to throw them away but I am dissapointed because I felt like eating crawfish boil tonight. Any recipes that can make good use of these critters would be much appreciated. TIA.

simmer in butter and herbs, mix in with mashed potatoes. Or make crabcakes with crawdads, I guess that would make it a crawcake.

Where do you live? Crawfish season is from mid-February through early June, doubt she could have picked up anything fresh that didn't cost the same as a lobster.

I didn't know there are any meat in a crawfish in the 1st place. I think people just wanna suck and lick gumbo flavor off the body of dead crawfish.

Etouffee was the only thing I could think of. I don't like crawfish especially. Perhaps you could just makes some good seafood stock for other dishes?

It's not crawfish season so you are pretty much stuck with frozen.

You can make etouffee like others have mentioned, gumbo, jambalaya. Crawfish enchiladas are good, you can sauté the meat with some mushrooms and put in on top of some fish (broiled snapper perhaps?) and a sauce, crawfish cakes, crawfish pies (like a natchitoches meat pie but with crawfish), tons of other stuff. Just get creative with it.

Broil em!
Russet Red Potatoes
Crawfish
Sausage
Onion
Some sort of crab broil

Broil, eat! YUM!! That's my favorite. I do a field school on this island off the coast of GA, and we do this every weekend with shrimp and crab. I'm so hungry right now!
