What can I do with an iphone 3gs?

So, I converted my co-worker to android (She saw my vibrant and fell in love with it). And I bought her fairly new iphone 3gs for 125, I figured I will give it to my son for his bday but he hates phones and gadgets (go figure, 16 years old and hates tech toys) Anyway, I loaded it up with music and netflix and thought that it would make a pretty cool media player thingy as long as I am within range of wifi (not data, cell as I am olready on tmo and have a vibrant). I thought about unlocking it but realised it was on 4.1 so thats out. Then i thought maybe I can put vpn on here and have a little mobile networking tool I could use at work.

So, what are some fun things I can do with the 3gs that will only be used on wifi?

How about getting an iPad data plan for it? $25/month for 2gb data, no voice minutes.

Other than that, without mobile voice/data it's nothing more than an iPod.

Yeah, that was the initial intent I wanted for my son, but he has no interest in it. Cant jailbreak it so I may sell it.

You can jailbreak it.

The new jailbreak is called greenpois0n. google it. The jailbreak only currently works on windows machines and linux tho.

Get a cheap iPad data plan, and hack it, I've done it to a 3G, I use it as a PMP/mini tablet...

Nah, we just had lunch and she was still all gaga about the galaxy. She never wants to see it again.

On another note, I just attempted greenpoison. I am now doing a restore on the phone. Dont think it works. I'll try the other JB later.
